Eloise's House is for elders with memory loss, Alzheimer's, and other impairments. It is designed for individuals who may not always be safe staying at home alone, but are still capable of caring for their own personal needs. The program supports family members who are caring for elders, giving them a respite from the ongoing care of their loved ones - for part of a day or all day, once a week or all week. Our clients enjoy being at Eloise's House, and families are helped immensely in knowing that their loved one is in a safe "home away from home."

Eloise's House provides a safe, home-like environment where elders participate in activities under the guidance of staff skilled in working with older adults with memory loss issues. The staff are responsive to the needs and values of each individual participant, the family caregivers, and the community.

"Our goal is to keep our clients active - keep their mental capacity working. We work with the skills they still have, like playing the piano, cooking, simple art projects, singing, gardening - recognizing and building on what they can do, rather than what they cannot do anymore." Diane Jennings, Program Director

"The staff at Eloise's House really understand my mother's abilities and know how to get her involved. They've also helped me feel much more confident by providing me the respite I so desperately need."
Ana Rivers, daughter of client
